Birthday card

Hi there!

When I saw the lovely new dies released at Simon Says stamp, it reminded me of a cutting file I had in my Silhouette library. I challenged myself to see if I can create something similar in the Silhouette studio.:)

The flower is called Fancy Flower by Tanya Batrak ( Design ID #147866 )

I created a frame for the flower in the Silhouette studio, and 'welded' the flower and frame together to make this card:

I used distress inks to create the smooshed watercolor background and added a label sentiment I also designed in the studio, using the font : Impact label.

It's been quite a while since I last shared a sentiment... so here it is :) You are welcome to use it on your projects! (right click & save to your device)

  15. This looks fantastic and makes me want to break down and get a silhouette! But where would I find the time to learn how to use it...??? Anyway, I love how this came out with the colorful background!

  18. Absolutely gorgeous Hannelie!! Great job creating this silhouette die-cut. I have not turned on my Silhouette for months ... and have never learned how to "weld". I'm so impressed! And the die-cut looks AMAZING over the colourful background. Stunning card! xx
